Over the years, Team 2252 has had various mentors that have helped the club accomplish great things. Here are all current and past mentors:
Prof. Benjamín (2012 - Present)
Prof. Benjamín currently works at the Technology Department as the technology teacher for tenth and eleventh grade in CIMATEC. Dorimar started mentoring Team 2252 in 2012 and currently is the lead mentor.
Her dedication lead to winningMentor of the Year in PRIOR's 2015 East Technology Challenge in Humacao.
Prof. Rivera (2009 - 2014)
Prof. Rivera founded CIMATECs Robotics Club in 2009. He used to work at the Technology Department as the technology professor for seventh and ninth grade. Elvin is a Computer Enginner and taught at CIMATEC for six years, departing in May 2014. All those years, he worked devotedly with Team 2252 as the lead mentor teaching, and supervising the students. Every achievement is owed to him.
Prof. Alvarado (2015 - Present)
Professor Alvarado has recently arrived to the school yet he has done a great amount of mentoring for the teams in Team 2252. He currently teaches Technology classes to 8th graders as well as Digital Design classes to 12th graders in SolidWorks. He aids the teams in the creation of their 3D models of their robots in SolidWorks as well as helping in the assessment and troubleshooting of different situations with the robots.
Thalía Soto (2013 - 2014)
While still being a senior at CIMATEC, Thalía took the decision to mentor Team 2252D. Being a veteran to VEX and the club, she taught this team all her knowledge about robotics and also encouraged, not only them, but all of the teams to persevere through adversities. Thalía is such a great example of commitment and generosity for all the members.
