The Secondary School Specialized in Science, Math, and Technology (better known as CIMATEC) was founded in 2008 in the municipality of Caguas by the late Mayor, Honorable William Miranda Marín in partnership with INTECO (Eastern Central Technology Initiative). He had a vision to create what he called The Triangle of Knowledge where he hoped to help create an environment suitable for the development of an advanced generation in the field of bussiness, research, and technology.
Philosophy
The school's philosophy is based around the fact that each student is a valuable human in a democratic society and that they should be able to reach their full potential with the cooperation of their parents and teachers. The school focuses on teaching students in a wholesome environment where they could develop physically, morally, spiritually, and intellectually. CIMATEC aspires for the students to become future leaders where they can help in the discovery of new scientific and technological knowledge.

MissionCIMATEC's vision is one of a dynamic and unique school centered around the student that aims to provide a learning environment where they are allowed to reach their maximum learning potential with the intention of turning them into men and women capable of transforming society through investigation, experimentation, and creation in the fields of Math, Science and Technology.
The school also wants to be a role model of Secondary School education in Puerto Rico as well as develop their students into ones with character and a profound social responsibility. |
